Wilczek, “Why are there analogies between condensed matter and particle theory?” Physics Today Jan., 1998 p1203 の中で‘upwardly heritable principle’ ということを述べている．つまり，deep resemblance between the laws of a macroworld and those of the microworld that produce it のある理由はこの原理‘when consistently applied to large bodies, microscopic laws retain their character’ であると述べているが，これもまったく逆向きの解釈ができることに注意．むしろ，巨視的世界の一般的論理が微視的世界にも通用する

時のみはっきりわかったような気分になれるから，まず巨視世界の論理を出来るだけ微視的世界に貫徹させようとしてきたとみるべきだろう．Downward extrapolation strategyである．
